Champions Banquet News & Notes

By Nathan Aldrich

Penn Can Speedway Promoter Keith Beach closed out the 2023 season Saturday Night in Thompson PA. The annual awards ceremony celebrated champions with a tasty dinner as plans were revealed for the 2024 season. The team at Penn Can has been hard at work this offseason adding a fresh surface to the facility which includes changes to the banking in turns 1 & 2. Fans and drivers alike will see changes to the concessions menus for next season as well as updated flows for concessions orders that will help keep lines shorter and pit concessions available later into the night. Work has also begun on some VIP Tower improvements and updates / fixes to the women’s bathrooms.

2024 will see the return of IMCA Modifieds in a bi weekly rotation with open sportsmen. Another major improvement in progress in the addition of new LED caution light systems around the speedway. With a rainy 2023 season in the books, Keith would like to welcome everyone in looking toward a bright and sunny 2024!
